Currents (2009) is an upbeat composition emphasizing musical dialogue offered by the complimentary instrumental blend of alto saxophone, tenor saxophone and piano. Much of the syncopated rhythmic activity is drawn from American jazz with the lively melodic riffs influenced by bebop and the slower melodic counterpoint reminiscent of early cool and modal jazz.
